ZapServer Application Server: About the Developer
Charles Conover graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. After graduating college, Charles joined Direct Line Cargo Management Services as Customer Support Supervisor and quickly changed the way the company used technology by installing networks in their nation-wide offices, purchasing and configuring PCs for each employee, designing e-mail and accounting programs, and setting up a sharing system for commonly used files and procedures. Charles led the company in configuring software systems to support its world-wide clientele. In 1993, Charles served a major role in the founding of Global Technology Services, Ltd., a successful company that currently produces and supports Lognet®, a cargo management software, which is used around the globe. Charles led the development team that programmed the original versions of Lognet, as well as created custom applications for their various clients, which included Nike, Service Merchandise, Evenflo, and Eckerd Drug among others.
Charles joined Century Distribution Systems in 1998 as a Project Manager and immediately revolutionized the company's cargo tracking product, Purchasing Control Logistics© (PCL), by updating their Sybase database design as well as completely re-programming the PCL system. This groundbreaking design has allowed Century to surpass their competition by providing dynamic cargo tracking information and reports on an internet system which, in turn, allows their customers access to a state of the art software program, without having to install it on their local drives.
In response to Charles' interaction with dynamic web-based customer support, he has developed ZapServer, which will assist programmers in this same task, yet with more grace and speed.
